As Nettle tea is rich in Nitrogen, it is best suited to leaf plants i.e Brassicas, Lettuce etc.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
We use it extensively on the tomatoes, peppers and aubergines. I think it is like comfrey liquid and has enough potash as well as nitrogen to get those things growing well. Certainly works on ours, anyway!
new to th evine, however i have an abundance of comfrey growing on my plot and have used it on my toms, pots, beets and als on my compost areas.
Really good free liquid gold, however collecting it from my barrel into 4 litre milk cartoons to store for use is a tad smelly and you do need to keep up wind i can confirm
Happy gardening
PS i also have access to as many nettles as i need for the other feed for my cabbages and others

Have drunk commercial nettle tea but never made my own. Apart from feed use them to make a nice pesto, soup and various other dishes where I would normally use spinach.

I find it's a great all-rounder, a general pick-up for all sorts.

The French here, in the countryside, all use it, and call it 'purin d'orties'. When the locals do something like this after generations of living in the countryside, you know there must be something worth copying! We used to have a mass of comfrey in the UK, but I can't get it to grow well here, maybe because the climate is just that little bit drier. So nettles are the only solution for liquid feed, and they DO grow well everywhere!
