Read an interview with the Springwatch team the other day, can't remember who said it but they were saying that people keep saying it should be Summerwatch by the time it's on. They then said that they couldn't do it in the spring proper as there was nothing happening but totally failed to say why they didn't call it summer and this close to June it is pretty much early summer. Maybe it just sounds better

Yes, I'd never seen one hatch from its cocoon before. Lots of people kill the cocoons thinking they're some horrible kind of pest.
