Struck gold on Facebook over the weekend. Was just browsing the local for sale groups and spotted somebody basically selling everything out of their garden. The listing had the following stuff in it:
-8x6 Greenhouse, less than3 years old with brand new seal strips and clips. Comes with 4 automatic openers.
-3 lots of staging including a potting up rack all in Stainless, costing over £600 new
-Rotavator
-Bosch Chipper/mulcher
-Dozens of propogators
-Gas Greenhouse Heater
I went round to take a look at it all and as we were chatting the chap just kept pulling more and more stuff out and saying he will add it to the collection. By the time we agreed on £300 for the whole lot there was this lot too:
-Lots of capillary matting
-2 pop-up poly tunnels
-loads of fleece
-several bottles of various feeds and fertilisers
-Bamboo canes
-heavy duty black sheeting
-loads of netting
-hundreds of decomposible plant pots
He has also promised me lots of locally harvested seeds and a whole load of cuttings and plants already in progress.
This means a change in layout for the back garden, the old pond is big enough to accomodate both greenhouses so I will end up with a 16x6 glass house to grow in to.
