    On a downer ....

Filbert dead, melons dead, apple a bit sick and no blossom, cherry produced only three fruits of which one has dropped off, daylillies been struggling, dwarf pomegranate nearly kippered, callalo failed, japanese beefsteak failed, jostaberry and blackcurrant minimal fruit, still so signs of a bloomin fig, only flowers in place right now are strawberry, raspberry and elder - lots of green, but no colour

    On an upper ...

Raspberries and strawberries doing fantastic (though nothing ripe yet), chillis doing well, cardoon is enormous, jerusalem and chinese artichokes look well, can now put washing out and have got lots more space in seating area, overall look and feel is not too bad even though not very productive

    Nett result = generally disheartening

Wheelbarrows? yes I may nick that one some day

Another point - the negative nelly threads are also good for reminding you you're not the only one feeling a bit useless.
