Dwarf sunflowers are coming up in my square foot garden, also Cosmos. I have limited luck with flowers so I'm very pleased.

Oh - and I'm very excited because I've joined in with this year's seed swap! What a fantastic scheme. Spent about 2 hours packing up little parcels of seeds, labelling them where I could, cutting little piccies out from the original packets to show what they were meant to look like. Did it all when I should have been working, which naturally made it all the more enjoyable!

I've got significantly more plants in this year, the plants are generally larger than last year, and yet there is more space for relaxing, cooking, drying and moving around. Plus, the whole garden needs much less maintenance so there's more time to enjoy it.

In theory, next year should be even easier - discard all the annuals and anything else that doesn't make it through winter, re-space the perennials to allow for the extra growth, and .... put my feet up Next year I should actually get significantly more produce for significantly less work
