Keeping the positive theme going what are you most pleased with this year?

It does not matter if its your veg, flowersor just your plot/garden or balcony.

My garlic is a real success this year, not huge but best result ever for me

I certainly don't think the strawberry barrel planters deserve the bad rep they seem to have on here. They've taken and held moisture well, and the plants seem very happy judging by the amount of fruit forming ... and there's a couple more waves to come as the mid season and lates kick into action. Raspberries are doing far better than expected too, especially considering that last year I was pruning out the new shoots so they didn't detract from the fruit ..... oops

Overall, I've got to say that it's my layout that's got me most pleased this year. I won't get the full benefits till next year as many of the fruit trees and bushes are new in this year, and just getting settled

This year we've moved, so just getting the back garden established as a growing away. My espalier pear and cherry trees look good, and the red apple tree makes me smile each time I see the fruit growing on it. I'm really happy with how I'm gradually changing the garden from a muddy weed covered, lumpy mess into a pretty growing space. We're behind on a lot of things, but I'm starting to see a lot of potential in it. And hopefully next year it will be amazing.

Peas strawberrys and potatoes for me. Radish must have been a fluke last year, cause this years are a disaster, all going to seed

So far I'm most pleased with my sweet peas. I've been picking them for three weeks now and because I am growing them as single cordons they have got lovely long stems. Some of them have already got to the top of their strings and I've layered them this week. The rest will need doing in the next week or so.

Here's a picture I took about an hour ago:

Strawberries for me, first time they haven't gone mouldy before I could pick them. I have loads of fruit on my Mirabelle tree too so I have high hopes for lots of jam
