Growing Lupins from seed

Can someone advise me please
I have tried several times with the same result I sow the seeds with 80-90% sucess I transplant the seedlings into 3" pots yet when the get to approx 4" the plants just dry up and die, I water them daily with a small amount of water

How big are your seedlings when you put them into your 3" pots? Can be quite a big pot for a little seedling. Perhaps try them into a module tray first. What are the roots like of the failed seedlings?
