What a nightmare but so glad you are finding a realistic work around for your problems. Do stay in touch and post pics of the pots. I think there may just be a few folks who like doing things that way so you'll be in good company

So sorry to hear about your foot problems, dear Darcy. I hope they will be able to sort it out for you.

Wishing you all the best for the future. Hope you find a brighter day.

Ok, I'll get off your case then! Just didn't want to think you weren't thinking straight, or were over-reacting. Make the most of your Wife's family and their support whilst you're lucky enough to have it. Then you can concentrate on getting mended.

Oh Darcy, after all the weeks and weeks of being off your feet and in pain, to find you have to go through it all again! So sorry your foot is still not right. Who knows, different hospital, different surgeons, different techniques, I'm sure they'll fix it next time.

Meanwhile, all the best with your move to Yorks and hope it goes quickly and smoothly, so you and Mrs D can settle down to a less stressed out routine with the family back-up you'll hopefully have.

As others have said, come and chat to us often, we miss you when you don't.

How disappointing for you when you were so optimistic earlier in the year. Sounds like family support is what you need. How fortunate your wife can transfer work as that could be a headache. There will be other growing opportunities, and perhaps one day another plot.

That's news to me, I didn't know they did ankle replacements.
Container growing isn't that bad, I find a lot less bug trouble with it. Could also contemplate some reasonably high substantial raised beds, nice wide wood so you can perch on one in the sun.

Great advice, I love container gardening. I do have beds as well though.

Welcome, in advance, to God's county.

                        Don't forget your flat cap.

Hope you can get the ankle sorted, we have some good hospitals.

Sorry to hear the bad news about the ankle...but maybe a move could be the beginning of something better for the family. If it doesn't work out I presume you could always move back eventually?

Let us know how you get on with the pots/ house move / foot!

Seems to me your condition was brought about by that neglectful shop (Boots wasn't it) that caused you to slip. I say sue. They have already admitted liability so the jobs half done.

I hope all goes well for you. See thee later.
