I don't watch football. I'm not remotely interested. And I find it objectionable that the powers that be think that the lowest common denominator programs will be acceptable in their place. I'm reading a book and doing crosswords instead.

Wouldn't be anywhere else but watching it, a very high percentage of the population want to watch it so it's not worth them putting much on the other main channels and these days most people have other options anyway. Have already told them at work that'll I'll be leaving at 4 on Tuesday to make sure I'm home in time although if things don't pick up it could be irrelevant
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Oh dear ...
Now at least we can enjoy it.Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.
Everything is worthy of kindness.

Well that was good - the evening was cooling off, the roads were quiet, the car parks were empty and I managed three shops with the dog without worrying about her suffocating in the car as I was able to park in the shade or underground with the windows openWhooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I actually hate football, this stems from my school days when I was quite a big lad, I always got picked for goal keeper on the grounds that I occupied a higher percentage of the goal mouth. That was ok but I would often be wandering in the wood behind the goal until I heard hysterical screams from my team mates and had to run back. Then as the opposing team approached I used a technique to protect myself by adopting a foetal position, closing my eyes and turning my back towards the ball (well it bloody hurts if it hits you in the stomach) and hoping I stopped the ball with my protruding bum. Considering it is supposed to be a team game I was always shocked by the verbal abuse from my so called team mates.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html
