  • Pulled one of my garlic yesterday as it looked slightly wilted and left it out to dry. Then went to a friends for tea and cake after work yesterday and forgot all about it. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain before I get in tonight!!

    • That I am too old for these new fangled seeds - I have no idea what a Brazillian Starfish' chilli is - that will teach me for mooching on a newly found seed site.

      • That this site has been throwing a wobbly all afternoon on me pooter Click on threads and I get web page unavailable messages and also struggled to log on and several times the page formats go wonky and tabs get listed rather than being in a nice bar across the top etc. etc. Then to top it off no one else seems to have mentioned this so it is me with the issue

            • Neighbouring plot holder is very nice and I know she has two small children (and is very busy) but is there any need to let the grass get waist high and start to seed!

                • That's just rude. There was an etiquette when my dad had a boat on the river. Minju, that was 50+ years ago.

                    Sorry rant:.................Hmmmm.............bladdy rowers.
My mistake, it's a rowing club not a canoe club....................it's an age thing.

                        • My neighbours flowering cherry looks like it has silverleaf disease. The tree is next to most of my fruit trees, all my roses and my chain tree. I want to say something but I feel I shouldn't

I'm fine thank you NVG, just a shock when it happened. Car not too bad though that's the second time it's happened to me on the same stretch of road. She didn't get out of the car very quick and I was at her window while she fiddled around inside - hiding her phone, I think. So more annoyed than anything.
NG, I would mention it up your neighbour, I can't imagine anyone bring offended by telling them that.

                            • Spending ages digging up black plastic on the plot that is buried beneath about 10 inches of soil in some places. Doing my head in!

                              • Accidentally pulled up my sole remaining turnip last night (after major slug damage) because I thought it was a weed. Totally forgot I had sowed some more there a few weeks ago. It wasn't big enough to use and now is refusing to look healthy again.
