  • 1st my laptop decided it does not want to run properly so I have spent nearly all day re-installing windows again. And now it is doing it's own thing opening things when I aint even clicked on it!

PAPERWORK!!!!! Agh I hate the thing. Whats the point filling things out and finding prof that its you ect. I only want to move into a flat, they do not need to know EVERY single detail about us.

    • Utility companies - arrrghhh! We had solar panels fitted 2 years ago and arranged to 'sell' our electricity to E*n since they were our energy supplier at the time. Only one name can go on the Feed In Tariff documents so we put my husband's name on - he was retired, he was at home should the need arise for them to contact us quickly etc etc. Sadly he died at the end of September so I contacted E*n to change the name on the paperwork. They have demanded to see a copy of his will to prove that the house is mine! They didn't need any proof of ownership when we signed up! It feels like such a gross intrusion of privacy. A utility company for goodness sake! They have demanded more 'paperwork' than anyone else including HMRC. So cross with them.

      • Susie, I'm sorry to hear about your husband. Are you still using a solicitor? If so have a word about this, does not sit well with me. I've just finally finished dealing with everything after Mr Frosty passing and eh I'll be polite and say some companies like to make your life difficult and just make it up as they faff along!

The sh&tbags at the insurance company wanted to see a copy of the will to prove my mum owned the house when my dad passed. I wrote and complained as I thought it was madness. The house had been owned jointly by them so there was no need for them to see the will.
They paid compensation which I used to buy my mum flowers. Still didn't make up for the fact they are cheeky cheeky monkies.
She was really stressed about not knowing if the house was going to be insured.
That was three years ago and they made what was a stressful situation really horrendous. I will never forgive them for that.
Some of these companies need a kick up the pants.

          • BT cut the phone off 3 weeks after my OH died because it was in his name and they felt that I needed to go through the credit ref process before they would reconnect me. 17 hours of begging and pleading by myself and my two sons wouldn't shift their position.

Being unable to use the phone or internet at such a distressing time was awful. Fortunately my OH had written the software that ran their number change so I had the CEO's email address. So I used a friends computer to explain the situation. It was back on the next day albeit in the furthest corner of the biggest bedroom.

These big corporations are unnecessarily heartless.

And don't get me started on Thames Water!

            • I came in to moan about hubby's motor's head gasket. But it seems a bit trivial after reading the above few posts. ((((HUGS)))) to those above, and anyone else being shat on by companies with no humanity.

              • I thought that ignoring someone was the preserve of 10 year olds - but apparently not!

No matter, I shall continue to say a cheery 'good morning' if we pass in the street, and pop a Christmas card through your door, and take in any parcels for you when you are out - because every time I do something normal like that, it just shows you up as being the complete ass that you are!

Happy ruddy Christmad to the lot of you!

                        • I bought 2 books of stamps to send to my son today. The books were both one stamp short each. Someone in our local supe.....convenience store has sticky fingers. I had to get them sent off so I didn't have time to take them back, but I did go in and tell the supervisor in there.

Went to the plot yesterday and discover someone has removed all the grass from outside my gate(Another plot neighbour did this for me)
Started to clear the path down the side of the beds and at the end I discovered a compost bin and an apple tree. I can now get to the pond.
                                  Another plot...
