Beans on toast all round Jay - saves a lot of hassle

Historic rant coming up.
Years ago, put the goose in the oven to cook and went out for the morning, family visiting. Came home about 1, expecting to smell hot goose. Nope, the oven had packed up. Luckily, it had a 2nd oven/grill but it was too small for the goose, so I had to chop it up and squash it in the oven and wait for another few hours. Family were coming for lunch, so we all stuffed ourselves on cheese and biscuits until the evening.
Oh how we laughed !! Still have the conversation that starts - "Remember that Christmas when your oven packed in..............."

Just tried to get an appointment at the docs for the two kids. Han has a very bad chest again with ear ache to top it off and Will is coughing his guts up again.
"Sorry no appointments but might get a consultation phone call. Oh no sorry that slot has just been taken."
If Han gets any worse then ring them back but seen as she isn't an asthma sufferer there is little chance of her getting in.
So I was woken up at 12.30 cause she'd had an accident in bed so had to strip and remake her bed. Then had to get her something to eat and drink so she could have some more pain killer and buttercup. Then got her back to bed then Will woke up so had to settle him down. Ended up getting back to my bed about 3.30ish only to find OH out for the count and snoring his head off. Just nodded off then it was time to get up.
Going to be a long day.

Xmas causing the world to go mad

It's a small thing, but getting a Christmas card addressed to Mr & Mrs from old friends. They know we are not married (20 years in, still thinking about it!) and that I have, and always will have an identity in my own right.

Me again - just spotted my cat sat beside my neighbour's gate. Well that explains why he's putting on weight - my neighbour puts out food for the local feral (as do we) and I suspect Squermish may be stealing the food. Bad cat, as the feral is his mother!
