  • ^^^That reminds me. Years ago I went to the opticians with someone who lost their glasses. The first thing they asked them to do was fill out some forms (and they didn't offer to help them)

My rant - things that aren't thought through...even slightly

Children can do it, so why are they called child-proof!

              • Lavender.

                Lots and lots of Lavender.

My back aches, my hands ache, my legs ache, and we've only cut back half of it, despite being at it all afternoon.

The good part though, is that I'm finally getting used to the smell!!

Nuker? I am guessing you mean microwave. We don't have one.

                  • TomTom has informed me the 6mile drive to my daughter's latest supported employment interview will take 1 hour and 4 minutes.

64 minutes to drive 6 miles.
                    Then 64 minutes home again.

                    Every morning.

And it will take 40 minutes to pick her up in the afternoon,
                    and 40 minutes home again.

                    6 miles.

Oh! The joys of living in the smoke

                    • At my new plot the former plot owner coming over to pester me about stuff and telling me what I should be doing.
Turn out he had left 3 builders bags of manure in the middle of the raised beds. Why I just don't know but I do know they are now full of docks and a massive bramble.
He pestered me 8 times in 2 hours. Think I might have to be a bit blunt with him soon.

I am sick of doing the shopping every week and having to guess what he wants and then he moans at me if I get it wrong!

Par boil them or stick a metal skewer through the middle. Transfers the heat works a treat.

Perhaps he hoped you'd be living on chips for a month

                              • Husbands that lean on the washing machine when preparing food.

I went to put the laundry on the line this morning, to find that he had inadvertently turned it off, and it hadn't washed.

When I mentioned it to him, he said he realised it hadn't finished, yesterday, but had forgotten to tell me.

                                Bless.
