        Saw it in the end last night. Driving back home down M40 from our daughters it was huge and bright. Got home and it was gone again. But I have seen it, so I don't feel deprived lol

            Just a note about taking a picture of the moon. A full moon is very bright, you can take a pic with any camera but use a tripod and a slow exposure. If you have a telephoto of say 300 mm so much the better.
            The picture I took above was with a canon 450D and a 200mm L series lens on a tripod, I think the exposure was 1/30 sec at f5.6.

              Gosh, you're a man of many talents Bill! My attempts at photo-ing the moon always turn out as a white blur, so I'll try changing the exposure.

                I was a keen photographer for many years and have all the gear but now I use my wife's little point and shoot, so much easier to carry round.
