Time is flying by.

Hi, is it me or is this year flying by?
In January I had to submit my little boys school preference, then it was Easter, then we found out which one he had got into and then it was a case of starting to plant seeds. Before I knew it I was planting them out.
What made me realise it was I was sat in the garden last night and by about 9.15ish it had started to get dark.
My nan use to always say the older you get the more time passes you. Quite depressing really as I'm not 40 yet.
Anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

Yes, time accelerates. It's great, we don't have to wait nearly as long to see the fruits of our gardening labours!

I Know what you mean. As time passes quickly with age, our steep little road seems to grow an inch or two every year.

When I was little I use to think that 18 was a good age to get to and then 21. Hitting 30 was old and hitting 40 was very old.
Well before I know it 18 and 21 have flown by at a the speed of light, 30 was here in no time and I'm 40 next year. Just don't know where the time has gone.

Whoever it was that said ... Youth is wasted on the young ... was right,just that it takes getting old yourself to appreciate the truth & the irony ... yes I am officially an old git who's time passes too quickly.

Tell me about it. They say that life is what happens while you are making plans. Seems only yesterday that I was 40. Or 30.

Oh no I've got years to go. By the time I get there they will of moved it again.
