The joyous thing about that is that we are taught when doing CPR that we need to move the sternum up and down a good few inches to generating a pumping action. When the rib thing is brought up the resus trainers generally say that yes you may break a couple of ribs but at least the person is alive. So the next thing will be the advice will change and we will then be sued by the family for not pressing hard enough to mimic the pumping action of the heart.

Can't win - now why am I working in health care again

And further - the milk cartons don't say contains milk. When I see the use by dates on there I wonder what is in those cartons. Certainly not anything approximating to fresh milk which has a very short life span.

Personally I would want to kick the b*****d into the water again!!!!!
Me too! Probably would have complained if they'd left him to drown. No pleasing some people...

I think killing yourself is nature's way of weeding out the terminally stupid.
Any body ever read the Darwin Awards? Tragically funny.

Also agree with Earthbabe, when practising CPR on the dummies, you have to use reasonable force to push the chest down. Stands to reason that bruising could result on a real person.

The original claim of $20,000 dollars was rejected by McDonald's despite them admitting to heating their coffee to between 180 - 190 F. Further McDonald's received over 700 complaints in a ten year period from people being burnt by coffee. McDonald's got everything they deserved in my opinion.
Yep but she did put the cup of boiling coffe between her legs and then attempt to drive off with the top off whist adding the sugar.

Not to lower the tone but I used to do a bit of stripping, but gave it up when the HSE wanted me to have a tatoo on my scrotum stating

We kept getting threats of court action and/or a visit from the bailliff for debts incurred by a previous occupier of our address, despite informing them (many times) that it was now ex council property and privately owned, this worried my other half greatly, so I contacted them to enquire as to the dates involved to see if the defaulter was still using our adress...... I was told they could'nt give that information due to customer confidentiality....!

On an American airlines flight our little packet of nuts said

"Instructions for use. Open packet and eat nuts.
CAUTION, THIS PRODUCT MAY CONTAIN NUTS"

                            Thats not what I read,
After receiving the order, the grandson pulled his car forward and
stopped momentarily so that Liebeck could add cream and sugar to her
coffee. (Critics of civil justice, who have pounced on this case, often
charge that Liebeck was driving the car or that the vehicle was in
motion when she spilled the coffee; neither is true.) Liebeck placed
the cup between her knees and attempted to remove the plastic lid from
the cup. As she removed the lid, the entire contents of the cup spilled
                            into her lap.

The point is though that not everything we read or hear about is always the truth - weapons of mass destruction anyone
