Today I came across a manky old fish tank with a broken end pane, It measures 2'X1'x1'. I removed the broken end piece (this will remain open), cut a new 2'x1' piece to go on what would have been the lid. I'm now waiting for some aquarium sealant to arrive then I can fix the new pane. Once fixed and tested, it will sit on some bricks in the pond on its end giving me a 2ft tall Fish TV. I'll post some pics once in position & if I get a decent picture..............
Will the increased water pressure not put off the fish from going into it? Or is the pressure not increased inside it?

The water pressure doesn't seem to affect them Snadge, in fact from my experience with other TV's, they seem to like it. Scientifically I have no idea what the pressure does.

This is the effect I'm looking to get:
Looks like they prefer going in tank, to living in pond!

They do, it's weird. Maybe the difference in pressure gives them a buzz...........................I've currently got a clear plastic storage box in place & the fish love it. The problem with plastic is it tends to implode when displacing the air with water.

If it implodes, that would make me think the pressure was less, which could be the answer!

I don't pretend to understand the science behind it Snadge. I just take it that this happens & that doesn't.............anyways, today I've managed to put the block stand in place & levelled up. Just waiting for the sealant which I'm told should come Weds, then a couple of days for it to cure so should be in place by next weekend.............Not going to rush is as the last thing I want is for the TV to smash........................

I think they like it in the tank so they can see what you're getting up to,if you hide, they will try & see where you've gone (is it just me who plays hide & seek with their fish?) It's really nice to see the fish like this,to see their faces.

You could be right there Lumpy..............Or it could be a case that they think there is food in there as that's how you get them used to it..............
