I know cats are a touchy subject here but ...
I went out this morning to do a few chores and a blob of something was on the driveway about 200' up towards the road. As I approached it stood up and ran off. It was a cat.
Later I went into town for a while and when I got home my wife told me about a cat that was laying behind the bushes in front of the porch. She said it was so weak that it had lost the desire to eat. (???)
I went out to look at it and had it eating in about 3 minutes.
It's a scrawny, young, little female that must have been dumped recently. My younger son mentioned a male that he saw the night before last. Probably a litter mate.
So, now that scrawny little female is laying on the bench on the front porch and while I'm sitting on the bench checking on her she comes up to me so I began petting her. Next thing I know she's curled up on my lap sleeping while I stroke her back. I guess she's found a new home.
Darned cat!!! That makes 3.
