It was fine when i left home friday, went to use it next day,and no signal,i just thought oh booo,as i was not alone, even amother virgin user, they apparently use EE,now another person with that was all good,am now home and it's still the same,i also noticed that the left top of the phone was void of what is usually up there, also no internet,i was well peeved,i wanted to look in here,i have looked on the web site and nothing is wrong,so i wonder if my phone has done one,or virgin is behind with its information, also had a miss call on the house phone no not known, that will not cooonnect when i try to ring it,but other no's do, so strange, has anyone else got strange goings on with or without virgin.help i have lost a limb

    Try:
    Turning on and off
Take the battery out and put in again ( if you can- mine is sealed in)
Take the SIM card out and put in again

Don't know about Virgin as not on that network

I had a problem with my phone when I got back from hols. I would do what WendyC recommends as that's what I had to do.
If your wi fi is still funny. Turn the wi fi off or disconnect it from your wi fi then reconnect it.
When we got back had to sort phone out and lap top as they were both on the blink.

Just done all that, still the same,Hey it's suddenly burst into life telling me of text's,but it has not registered any of them for keeps, never mind,it does show the calls i tred to make, darned thing, see what happens tomoz, maybe go the shop and ask,it has got cover, just wish i had thought off closing down and a restart, grrrr,a person on site said about this EE what ever it is,as is exelent and their phone was working,on looking around the virgin websites on the home putor,it says it operates through/with EE,so in theory, should have been good,if in future i get the same,i will give the bumps again, thanks Wendy,

I don't use the wi fy,not understanding, only thought if it something to do with the spots ext,i need to have lessons from a personal geek,or ask at the shop,i am a silver surfer after all,the grey cells have all been allocated.

Hi Lottie, I'm with Tmobile which uses EE and I've noticed the phone signal is really weak today.
Maybe all that rain gets in the way!! 😀

Another forum I'm on has a different fail safe to turning it off and then back on, but I don't think you'd be anatomically capable.
Sent from my pc cos I don't have an i-phone.

I was with T-mobile (pay as you go) for 11 years (now its called EE)

moved to a new home and had very poor signal (1 bar if I was lucky) .... spoke to the neighbours, and the best signal in my area is O2, so switched to them (I kept my same phone number, and O2 arranged the switch)... many people had the same problem with EE/T Mobile in my area and they switched

I now have full 5 bar signal (and a better cheaper deal with O2)

Wouldn't be a Samsung by any chance. Both SWMBO and I have Samsung's but on different networks both suffer the same problem, for no reason they disconnect from the net work. We just have to re-boot by switching of aqnd on again

If you just re-boot by switching off/on the time and date are saved for you. My bugger did it again this morning. It only takes seconds to correct but is a nuisance as you don't know it's happened unless you check.

thank you for that,it was was because i took the battery and syme out,i loose touch with what is what on it,an account of not needing to go into it's internal goings on very often,at least i know what to do with the ruddy thing if it happens again, also if anyone else on here sees my thread and not understands what's what, they will know what to do with theirs,or is it just me so far behind, for me technoligy has swept by at an alarming rate.
