I heard a similar sentiment from someone who had been in a Japanese POW camp. He said that at the time he hated the Japanese for what they were doing to him, but realized he could not live the rest of his life full of hate. He made a conscious effort to put it behind him and not be embittered for the rest of his life. A very brave man..

Did one of the young Nigerian ladies who was kidnapped, not say something similar about her kidnappers,
