I don't like it. And that's a strong statement coming from one who lived in Japan. I would never admit it there, of course!
I remember the first time I ate it. It was on the plane to Japan. I ordered the Japanese meal ( to show how cosmopolitan I was ) but had no idea what to do with it. I copied the (Japanese)man next to me and stirred in the green stuff with my noodles. When I took a bite it was honestly like a cartoon where you can see a line of red travelling up someone's face until they explode. Of course, I ate the whole meal and suffered in silence!
So, in short. I don't want to grow it!

Bit of a tangent here, but does anyone grow mustard for the seeds - which are then ground into..............erm, mustard?

I tried growing for seed once (for using whole) never to be repeated. I can't justify the amount of plants needed to make it worth while and its not as tho you can taste the difference.

Thanks NG. I found some White Mustard seeds in my seed stash and wondered whether to treat them like Mustard and cress, or green manure, or for making Mustard.
Sounds like the last option is out!!

I have a box of odds and ends, that don't fit in with the conventional seed types - so when I'm sorting them out they're put back in the box for another day
I'm on Cress at the moment.
There's Grandpa's Cress, Iranian Cress, Plain leaved and Curled. Also Land Cress, (green and variegated) and Watercress. Any more cresses?

If you filed all your cress seeds packets into one of those video boxes VC you'd almost end up with:
