Went for a visit to the Falkirk Kelpies today. Took the conducted tour which gave us access to the inside of one of the horses heads. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Really amazing sculptures. Some pics here Falkirk Kelpies - Yahoo Image Search results

We went a few weeks ago...they are absolutely stunning. You really have no idea of the scale of them until you see them. We had been in St. Andrews and came from the North where you can see them from the motorway...they really take your breath away. We followed this visit with one to the Falkirk Wheel, another piece of stunning engineering! Well worth the visit if in the area as Aberdeenplotter says.sigpic -

My word what a size they are,never heard of them before,but have seen the wheel on the TV plus a friend visited it,both feats of engineering,thanks for the upshotsigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these
