Just knowing that you have grown your own fruit and veg from seed, watching it grow and eating it. Knowing where it came from and what your using on it.

I grow things in an attempt to make me eat them....I hate veg!

When I was young we had a large garden and grew things all the time I didn't eat them though ( every one else did ) , at 15 we moved into the edge of the city centre and then not much space to grow things

Since I was very young I have never eaten healthy food, every one else did , I wouldn't!

The only fruit or veg I have eaten in around 30 years, nothing raw at all......only cooked apples. rhubarb , potatoes, carrots and onions!, before that back in the 80s....maybe a few strawberries added to the diet as well!

Preferred meal was a big fry up bacon eggs potato cakes sausage , a couple of times a day

in 2001 , I was ill ( obviously it would happen sooner or later..... ) , but only kidney stones, stomach ulcers and generally feeling very very ill!

So I decided I needed 2 things, less stress and more healthy food ,

The only way this would work is me to decide to eat better!

So I needed to grow it, I started growing things in pots everywhere , mainly fruit

Growing things = stress relief from work

It is healthier....I have to try to eat it I have wasted my time if I don't at least try to eat some of it...

I have managed to eat some veg this year, but I still cant stand most of the stuff! , still a very limited range of things I eat

The house in Bulgaria is to try and force me to try things as its too hard to buy cakes and meat is often unavailable locally ,

The garden is full of Butter nut squash this year, this has made me eat it.... , after a few meals I really like it , so it is starting to make me eat better.... slowly

Saying that I have masses of other things I don't eat that I cant bring myself to try, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, lettuce, cauliflowers, cabbage.....never tried!
