Oh, Bessie and Petal are both absolutely gorgeous!!
Well done on adopting them, VC and JeanieD!!
It is so lovely to know that two dogs who had a difficult start in life are now going to be very happy.

Bessie is settling down with me but very nervous with strangers. She's just "pulled" me a little way down the road and hid behind my legs when a friendly little boy approached.
We've had half a bath - both soaked and she wasn't impressed. Photos may follow when she's dry. I know she's still damp as she's leaning on my back
She had a couple of accidents in the house during the evening - but overnight, in the kitchen with Mary, she was dry and quiet (once she realised that she couldn't dig through a solid oak door).
Its such a long time since I've had a puppy around that I've forgotten how much energy they have. I'm exhausted watching her tearing around
So is Mary who is snoring her head off as usual

She sounds lovely VC.
I had the pleasure of cuddling this little pup yesterday. Unfortunately I had to give her back

Fab news Ladies - and two extremely lucky pooches!
(Can't help worrying about the Mum of Jeanie's two. Has no one thought to get her spayed, instead of letting her churn out puppies that end up in the rescue centre...?)

I know, G4 - I mentioned this at the rescue centre and I know the lady that runs the centre campaigns against puppy farms. Their reply to me was 'don't get me started'.
At least the breeder had the good sense to pass them on for rehoming at a relatively young age, instead of hanging on to them and harming their chances of a successful adoption.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
