I thnk the secret is to have a tin to put them in as you count. The only good snail is a dead one.

They're all finding places to spend the winter. Which is why now is a good time to go hunting them.
I tidied up all my plant pots and removed a few dozen. I'm going to have another mooch this week and get rid of some more.

I deliberately turn several pots upside down to attract them. Then I am affraid its curtains for them.

We don't have any. Kids go round picking them off things and chuck them in next doors garden as well as other grubs
Its ok its not as bad as it sounds. My next door neighbour has a bit of unused ground down the bottom of her garden so kids chuck them down there for the birds to get. Sounds daft but this year once the kids have finished and sat down quietly a thrush and male blackbird would come down to see what the kids had whacked over
