No but it's something I would like to try

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Squirrel, yes quite a few times. I was a member of a local shoot and we had to keep the greys down to a reasonable level. I had it on its own a few times but preferred it in a game pie with wood pigeon, rabbit etc. Served with roasties and a good gravy.

Clootie? My Step Dad loves it...there was a good recipe on here once

I had crocodile while on holiday last year. That was pretty good actually! Marinated and barbecued. Weirdest thing I ever had was probably crickets.. they don't taste of much, but they are apparently very good for you: zero fat and packed with protein.

Tongue and jellied eels both sound rank.

Potstubsndustbins - do they really taste like chicken or is that a myth?

Cooking your own ham leaves a great stock base for soups.
My kids take a packed lunch to school every day and the packet ham filled with water for sandwiches costs a fortune so I cook my own every week. Saves me a fortune.

I've had pike, very nice (bland) but be prepared for the bones...
My brother was a gamekeeper (fishing is his hobby) he doesn't eat much fish or meat. Won't eat pheasant because of all the antibiotics they give them...

David a bit one off really nearest I could get is a cross between chicken and rabbit.

Wood pigeon breasts lightly fried with scrambled eggs for breakie, there's something I miss. Or in season pan fried deer liver with the same scrambled eggs.

We used to shoot 100's of wood pigeon for crop protection purposes, so has not to waste them we kept them in a couple of chest freezer's and they were collected by a special lorry for export to France.

                        Oh crikey, eels....

I once was on holiday in Greece and was persuaded to try the restaurant's 'speciality'... it was a long windy thing that went round and round the dish. Eww! And it tasted like very strong tinned pilchards in tomato sauce. That's another thing I can't stand, and had to eat as a child... along with luncheon meat, bleuurgh, ugh, yuk!!!

I do like wood pigeon, that much that I am happy to prepare them.

There is a fat pair that sit in the trees that shade my veg patch and peck about and pull things up and generally make a nuisance of themselves. I have often thought about inviting them for lunch. Alas, I don't have an air rifle or catapult and I am probably a lousy shot.

Scarlet, fruit pudding is like white pudding but with sultanas in it. Although I love Clootie gently fried in butter - nom nom

Would like to add tea and coffee to my list of NO No no no never, its the most disgusting thing on the planet!
The smell of both make me feel ill. The taste of both make me chuck.
I was made to drink a coffee every morning before I went to school! I told my grandparents the day I leave school was the last time I would ever drink coffee. I have been clean for 25 years now.

Hummus. Home made or shop bought I will eat it by the tub.
My family says it looks like wall paper paste.
