(I use AdBlock Plus, but its not a recommendation as such as I expect I just choose the first one that I found; it seems to work OK FWIW)

Same here, Firefox browser with Adblock plus. I don't have any problems. I never click on an advert either...

Chrome with AdBlock plus here. Such a relief not to have ads trying to screw money out of me all the time.

Just installed this...........need to 'wean' myself from adverts I've got too used to seeing!

PS Seems to speed things up a bit without adverts loading!

That should be the case - less "clobber" to download, plus the adverts came from diverse sources which may have had its own performance issues and lastly they may have had a programming element that would have robbed horsepower doing whatever animation etc. they were set to.

I sometimes find that AdBlock itself can be slow at times whilst it checks things ...

The suspect ads are still there this morning.

Please do NOT click on any of them - especially that one offering to remove malicious software as it will no doubt do the opposite!

Which "brand" of adblocker? Some forums detect that no adverts are showing and then stop working - as they make their money from the adverts. That might be an issue here? with certain brands of adblocker (I'm using "AdBlock Plus" FWWI)
