We seem to have come full circle with today's mobile phones?

I, like many others started with a 'brick' phone with an Ariel which you needed two hands to hold and you had to clip them on the outside of your clothes as they wouldn't fit in your pocket!
Then they eventually developed smaller phones which actually fit in your pocket.

The same happened to wirelesses which developed into small radios.

Just as the wireless spawned the 'Boombox' which needed to be carried on the shoulder the small phone is getting bigger all the time.

If it keeps on going we will soon need to carry them on our shoulders!

There's a lovely ad for EE I think at the moment showing people with 'download waiting' faces... It's supposed to be amusing but it's really just showing what lots of people are like these days. Zombies glued to a small screen.

A friend of ours had to get a man-bag to put his phone in cos he got one of those huge ones.
It makes me laugh seeing people take photos with an iPad. I'm mostly jealous on that though as mine is an almost defunct iPad1.

Agreed, the phablet is great for browsing, watching movies etc. but looks a bit daft held up to your face for a phone call.

Reminds me of a family picnic. My Uncle proudly announced that he had a portable radio in his car. It took 2 of the family to lift it off the back seat and it was so big that my Aunt put a tablecloth on the top and used it to set out tea.
Don't think the reception was all that hot either

A young man at work asked me if I had brought my No-No into the office - he'd actually seen my pink phone on my desk. My grandchildren have also said "They don't make them that small any more Nanny"
