I daren't even count mine! And every spring, I spend time sowing the OLDEST seeds as I don't want to use up those nice new ones, as I am SURE the old ones will germinate fine. When I find that they won't, it's usually a couple of weeks later, and then I'm sowing late. And of course, I have forgotten to throw away the old packet of failed seeds, so next year it will happen all over again.
I have just dried and 'tinned' up enough climbing French bean seed to last me for the next five years. WHY have I collected so much? Because it was there! And I won't be able to bring myself to throw away viable seed next spring or even stuff several years later.
I must have a couple of hundred packets, not including self saved
and i have just won a auction for 200 packets of seeds, yes 200, why, because i couldn't control myself and the OH will never know. Oh the excitement of spending hours looking at all the different seeds not knowing what to plant, i must say i think i enjoy looking through my seed packets more than planting.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

18 packets in a small tin, all sow by 2014 onwards. That makes 249 in total, my collection is bigger than I thought and I dread to think how much money I've spent on them.
No chance of counting them, boxes and boxes of them, I buy them to get feedback on new ebay accounts before I start selling a new item that needs its own ebay account.
Living off grid and growing my own food in Bulgaria.....
Feeling quite saintly - mine come to a modest 99 packets - 68 veg and 31 flowers/grasses. Got a few more self-saved drying out, but they don't count until they are in their envelopes!
Gardening is cheaper than therapy and you get tomatoes
I've got 21 in one or my two stashes. Haven't counted the other yet. Some are self collected and contain hundreds or thousands of seeds. Some are new from magazines. These are all ones that I don't have room to grow so will be swapping at some point.
I probably have a similar number, perhaps a few more, that I want to keep and plan on using but those are all in my other stash. I only have a small plot, but I love how you're growing a new life, a new plant, just from one tiny seed. Plants are awesome.
