  • This is Betty, my pedigree cat!!!!

    This is Betty,

she is not really a pedigree cat but I could not resist the photo. Betty is 17 years old and is stone deaf, a complete git and as miserable as sin. Still I have had her as a close companion from the age of 21 and love her to bits.

Being a cat she prefers milk to Marstons Pedigree but at least she is guarding it for me!!!!

Cute one, PW! One of my mogs is thoroughly miserable, but I wouldn't swap him!

Mind you, they have both (mistakenly, I promise!) been shut outside ALL DAY today, rain and shine (well, rain and rain..) so perhaps he has a reason to be!

Gorgeous cat Piglet. I just love stripey cats. I hope Betty is with you for a long time to come.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Betty looks like a cat I had in my childhood called Puss. She adopted my parents when they moved into their first maisonette. She cried outside the front door until she was hoarse and mum took pity on her. She never regained her mieow. She was a proper stray but she survived a broken pelvis and lived to a ripe old age of at least 20 becuase thats how long she lived with us and the vet reckoned she was a few years when mum first acquired her. Quite a tolerant yet grumpy cat, when she got old she insisted on sleeping in the greenhouse. Mum used to make her up a cosy teachest with a hot water bottle when it was cold but she never slept in it. A proper stripey mog.

Looking at the pic, the 'it' would appear to be a rather large glass of pinot grigio......

PS I'd ask how come your missus is so photogenic, Trousers, if I didn't know how bloody pretty she is in real life!
