Puppies - such endearing habits
The 4 pups and Bess were squabbling over something in one of their beds. Growling, barking, pouncing, tugging - you get the picture! Eventually, I decided to remove the "something" for a bit of peace.
Pulling the pups out of the bed, I see that Lily/Nellie has something in her mouth - looks like a piece of knotty string or a root, and the other pups are trying to snatch it from her.
I grabbed at the "something" and dropped it immediately It was the back legs of a frog/toad, a rather large frog/toad.
Bit worried now that the rest of its body will turn up somewhere unexpected
The House guests are here until Monday, assuming their "Mum" has recovered by then.

Here are my girls, Petal is getting to be a big girl now! Her eyes are still a bit of a problem as the third eyelid is very prominent - but the vet isn't worried and Petal certainly isn't - and sometimes they look fine
Still got 2 more weeks until we can collect puppy Charlie, can't wait, will post some photos as soon as we get him. Meanwhile trying to make house a bit more 'puppy proof'!
Spud & Ted are little hooligans and their mother is as bad
I bought a new magic mat for the kitchen, hoping to catch some of their muddy feet - put it down yesterday. This morning, the mat's rubber surround has been ripped to pieces and there are bits all over the floor. Trouble is, when I tell them off, they look at me so innocently that I just want to scoop them up and cuddle them
Spud is on my lap as I type, being endearing, but in seconds, he'd be up on the table, pinching summat. Yesterday, he was running around with my glasses
Ted is a bit more reserved, still likes his own space and is not so confident. If a helicopter goes over, he either runs back to the house or cries to be picked up.
I've never heard Spud bark and Ted only does when he's sees his food bowl.
They're really good, actually, considering they're only 3 months old. Everyone loves them
