So, after losing poor old Otto Basset we had a space. The 2 charities we foster for wasted no time.......there is always a shortage of people who are willing to take on either oldies or end of life care hint hint to anyone thinking about it.
So, on Saturday afternoon we collected Minnie a 10 year old Lab. When I fed her she cried in pain so spent the wekend on soft and stinky (a mixture of soaked complete and tinned Chappie). Vet visit Monday - vet for the day Tuesday.
In the vets words 2 completely manky teeth were removed and a skin tag that was threatening one of her eyes.
She now eating like it is going out of fashion (still on the soft and stinky) which is good as she is a bit under weight.
She has a very sad background..............wait for it...........HERE'S MINNIE

Looks can be decieving - Poppy the yellow Lab is just to lazy to move away. We hope that a permanant home can be found for Minnie as it will do her some good and free up a space for another oldie or end of life care.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

Happy 2nd Birthday Ted and Spud \
Two years old today!
It seems like yesterday that you were holding my virtual hand as we waited for their arrival
Ted's eyes aren't really blue - its a trick of the flash.
Ted is a lovable rogue! He's always up to something like pinching my shoes and running off with them or picking up flowerpots and emptying the contents. He's knows he's being naughty - but his tail doesn't stop wagging. Such a happy dog
He loves to play fetch, always has a ball or summat in his mouth, just as Bess does, and likes to sit beside you with his head in your lap. He sleeps on his back, legs and everything in the air His bark is a deep "Ooof"
Spud is still like a cat. Curls up in a ball on the chair, not so good at fetch unless its socks or bits of pipe. Balls are just a bit too big for his little mouth - he says. He's so friendly - wants to say hello to everyone he sees. Spud barks but prefers to howl. Throws his head back and pretends he's a wolf.
They play very well together, just the odd cross word over food. The house would be very empty and quiet without them - I can't imagine it!!Attached Files
