I think that we should start a new thread. A petition to make VC keep the puppies. Any takers?
VC has already been great posting pics and showing the pups and letting us know how they are getting on. She must be exhausted already so I'm for letting VC have a rest
I'm surprised how tiring it is, Ap Its not all cuddles and licks!
When they're awake they want to be running around and playing and pestering Auntie Mary. They're getting better with the house training but I need to watch them all the time and watch where I step!
Bessie is worn out, so thin, and losing interest in feeding them. They're eating solids and drinking puppy milk - every couple of hours. This means I can't go out for long, unless there's a "babysitter" around.
It's been an experience I wouldn't have missed for the world, but not one I want to repeat.
Now there's the trauma of finding homes for them and, actually, parting with them. They're all different and have their own personalities. I would be happy to have any of them as my forever pup.
Yup, I can agree with the above picture - a very familiar scenario.
Ok, I've just looked back at yesterday's pictures, and aren't they lovely. Mikey's 'Boy' is far too pretty for a boy lol, would love to we more pictures of him. When I was younger I was given a liver and white Springer, so I have a very soft spot for them.
A friend of a friend is coming here tomorrow to see the pups and may want two of them She lives locally so I would be able to see them as they get older, maybe walk with them too. She's had cocker spaniels before, some from rescue, so she sounds like an OK parent.
Feelling sad already
Och VC. As the friend of a friend lives nearby you can have the best of both worlds - seeing the pups but not running yourself ragged caring for them. Have a mega virtual hug
Lovely that two could stay together. Did you watch the programme about puppies on BBC2 recently? They reckoned siblings could recgonise each other for a year or two after separation. Our cats definitely enjoy each other's company. Still sad to see them go.
She said she doesn't mind which two, boys, girls or one of each. Just needs a dog back in her life after a few months without one - and two would be company for each other.
I can't even decide which one I want to keep - they're all such little characters.
