You should see them today. Black Pudding is just like a miniature dog. He's climbing over all the barriers - have to keep raising them.
The others are still round and puppylike. Will take some more photos later!
Spud is just sooooooo wrinkly and adorable. How can anyone put Spud down after starting to cuddle him?
Its impossible, Frosty. They're so trusting and cuddly.
When I squeeze into their run, I have to kneel down as there's so little room. They come toddling over and scramble up onto my knees, then nestle into my arms and before I know it, my arms and lap are full of pups and my feet have pins and needles!
Its worth the discomfort
I'm just wondering...do you get to enjoy them until they are 8 weeks old before they can be separated from Bessie?
I seem to recall reading about the ideal but can't recall it now!
I think Bessie will distance herself from the pups when she thinks its the right time. She's still feeding them but their claws are very sharp - and their teeth are just emerging Must be painful for Bessie.
I give them mushed up puppy food each day and they're getting the idea that you stand around the plate and lick it up, not in the plate as they did at first.
VC at least you can squash into their run. This big aunty would squish the run
In such a short space of time they have developed from vulnerable wee balls of fur into puppies. Thanks again VC for sharing your and their wee precious lives with us.
So if spud is a male and you decided to keep him you could call him Eddie (think King Edward!).
Oo er VC it sounds like you might just be thinking yourself into having a pack of 6 woofers at this rate. Addictive arn't they
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison
