My two were seperated from their mum at 6 weeks because she was tired and refused to have any thing more to do with them. To be fair (or not as far as my opinion of the owner is concerned) it was her third litter in 18 months.
I took one at 6 weeks and the other at 11 months because the girl who bought him couldn't cope with a puppy and a baby.
