As I said before, Bessie will from now on start to disassociate herself. She will still look after them but will try to hide from their persistent want of milk from her. As to them still recognising their siblings later, my two are siblings from the same litter. I had Holly at 6 weeks as her mum was no longer interested. Prince went to the daughter of a friend of mine who found she was pregnant and decided she couldn't cope with a puppy and a baby. As we were friends the two pups had seen each other often enough to remember.
When Princes owner wanted to send him to Blue Cross I offered to take him on but could they hang on to him 'til Holly finished her first season.
He's a lovely, intelligent dog. Holly is too but she's very mummyish.
I'm currently sat in a pub with them, they are a big hit with any children and very well behaved. I love the daily fix and it reminds me of how my two once were. See my avatar for Holly.
