  • As I said before, Bessie will from now on start to disassociate herself. She will still look after them but will try to hide from their persistent want of milk from her. As to them still recognising their siblings later, my two are siblings from the same litter. I had Holly at 6 weeks as her mum was no longer interested. Prince went to the daughter of a friend of mine who found she was pregnant and decided she couldn't cope with a puppy and a baby. As we were friends the two pups had seen each other often enough to remember.

When Princes owner wanted to send him to Blue Cross I offered to take him on but could they hang on to him 'til Holly finished her first season.

He's a lovely, intelligent dog. Holly is too but she's very mummyish.

I'm currently sat in a pub with them, they are a big hit with any children and very well behaved. I love the daily fix and it reminds me of how my two once were. See my avatar for Holly.

      • So you have a neighbour wanting one of the black girls, two others go to this new offer and one for you VC - so you just have to re home one puppy! I am sure it won't be long before that happens
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I must check with the neighbour as its their s-in-law who wants a pup - and I haven't heard anything since Christmas.

As to which is my favourite - I'll wait to see which one is left over - but if its Spud or Bear, I'll be very happy - only because they have such amazing fur - like plush/chenille, and a cheeky, bounce

                          • I think it depends on the breed or the dog. Everyone told me to have another dog when my old Dog Bob was about 10 but although we looked after several other dogs throughout the years, neighbours dog was more often with us ! I know that the times it was just him were the ones he preferred. He was much calmer.

                              • We take Max's father walking with us from time to time but, he just teaches max bad habits like whining in the car and licking the glass, I'm not impressed. The good habits like swimming he doesn't pick up though!!
