  • As you guessed, Jeanie, the 2 Big Boys were in the pawprint bag. There was no room for little Spud though so he had to go in with the girls in the pretty bag.
Couldn't pack them all away again after the vet had done his stuff so a couple of them were tucked under arms for the carry back to the car.
Fortunately the vet's waiting room was empty so they ended up being cuddled by various vet nurses and receptionists. The pups were walking over the counter and Nellie walked over to the keyboard and stood on one of the keys. I think she wanted to show them this thread
Should be less chaotic when they go for their next injection as there will only be 2 pups to carry.
Nellie and Rhodie are going to their new home on Saturday and I expect Baby will go next week.
A couple of ex-neighbours came here today, asking if there were any puppies left, as they wanted a pup after losing their 14 year old Cavalier last year. Lovely people and I would have loved them to have had one - especially Baby, as I may not see her again after she leaves. Useful to have a reserve home though, just in case.

    • Saturday is going to be a very mixed emotion day for you. Sadness to see them go but also so much pride in them, Bessie and yourself.
I read the tea leaves this morning and I fortell many more photo's and possibly another video appearing on here ...............hint hint!

      • Oh no, only 2 more days! Hope their new families send photos of their progress! Shall miss the daily updates.

Just a thought...could you not just keep them?

                  • I'm worried about how Bessie will react to losing 2 pups on Saturday. She always knows where they all are and checks to find any missing ones.
Anyone who has had puppies have any ideas?

                    • I haven't had puppies VC so can't help, aw I hope Bessie will be ok, lucky she'll still have some pups to keep her busy. Little do those puppies know how many people will be missing them!

I suppose you could take them both into another room for an hour or so a few times each day so she gets used to them being away???...then again, she might stress out more??...hard one !

As long as they don't all go at the same time, she'll be fine. It is always worth keeping one or two of them to ten weeks instead of eight, if you can. That way she'll be sick of them trying to feed when she has little or no milk, and they have sharp teeth and claws. She'll soon tell them to leave her alone.

As you're keeping two anyway, I wouldn't anticipate any problems at all.

                          • Just counted the pups - only 4, Ted was missing.
Looked under the table, in their various beds etc etc. He had to be in the kitchen somewhere as the door was closed, as was the back door.
Bessie was missing too but she was in the garden, having gone out through the dog flap

You've guessed, Ted had followed her out through the flap and was running around the garden, in the dark, having a great time
He's back in the kitchen now
