Anyone had Puppies? Part 1

Petal news! Today we had a big adventure, driving to High Wycombe to see the dog opthalmologist. I had been worried that her eyes looked sunken and I thought it might mean she had an eye disorder.

After some detailed examination, he concluded that in spite of her healthy weight gain over the months, Petal is still a very skinny little dog and needs feeding up so she has more fatty tissue behind her eyes which should fix the problem. He demonstrated on Rosie to show that when the eye is depressed a little, the third eyelid and the tear duct are much more prominent.

Petal is going to love his recommended treatment - extra dinners!

That's such good news, Jeanie. I know you were worried about her eyes, as you asked about them when we collected Petal. Seems so long ago!
I like the sound of the "extra dinner" diet Bet Rosie will too

Lol the problem for Rosie is that the extra dinner only applies to Petal! Fortunately I can shove Rosie in the car for guard duty whilst I give Petal her extra - or I could take Petal upstairs to cat world to commune with the cat for her treat! That will go down well with Petal and I am sure Maisie will put up with it. At the moment Petal likes to tidy round the cat bowl as Maisie is such a messy eater.

He's not the easiest to take a photo of, the minute he see's me he ducks his head down, so not the best shot in the world - but he's growing

Scarlet, Stan is getting so big now...is he still into all his mischief?

Bessie has just come home from the Vets after being spayed. She won't be bringing shame to my door again
She's very sleepy and the pups can't understand why they're not allowed near her. The next few days will be "interesting" while she recovers.

Awe bless her,poor Bessie,hope she soon recovers her puppy self,she had a lot happen to her in a short space of time sending cuddles and gentle strokes to her,
