It's for another 275 homes to be built in our village on farmland that surrounds my home, there's already the go ahead of 270 homes to be built on the opposite side. We have a similar problem where 'the need for housing' overides all common sense. Our council said that our village needed 7 more homes to forfil its future needs -so 23 just being finished in the field opposite, another 37 planned for a field on the other edge of the village and a farmer has sold a massive field to the same developer who now want another 122. At least none of the planning committee live in the village because I wouldn't want them bothered bu the noise, destruction, dust etc.
