And whats all this thanksgiving day about? is it equivalant to our harvest festival?
If Scotland ever get independance will they have an independance day?
When N ireland and Wales go will we in England have our own independance day?
        So much to think about.

I remember having a maypole errected in school grounds, and us kids pairing up and dancing around it. As I still live in the area, I know for a fact that my old school no longer practice this English tradition. Instead they have 'modernised', which as Bill points out, seems to be a byword for quietly shelving the institutions that link this country with it's past. Very sad.

If we in Yorkshire had home rule it would be Yorkshire day every day.

One good thing to come out of Black Friday, I picked up an email that took a good percentage of magazine subs. Passed it to my Daughter, and I now have 12 months of GYO mag for just over £22

It all made me sad, nothing to do with us in the UK and from the looks of it nothing we want to be involved with. Thankfully most people I know made a point of ignoring it all.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
