    I went self employed in 1988. It was tuff! But I am still doing it to this day. Six years ago I inherited some dosh from my mum and her brother, my uncle, who had no children. It wasn't a fortune, but it has enabled me to be more picky about the work I do.

    I will probs always be a freelance because I love it. But it's great not to be under the incredible financial pressure I lived under for the first 30 years of my working life.
