Outdoor festive lights advice please!

We're pretty ecologically minded so won't have them lit too much...but I really do love seeing them lit!

We're pretty ecologically minded too - I'm gonna use that phrase, thanks and I haven't put mine up yet - but that's laziness not green-ness! I bought a family of wicker reindeer in the sales last spring for peanuts, so looking forward to having them graze the front lawn festively lit

I took a piccie, but it's really blurred!... Must be either the chilled hands from standing outside, or the mulled wine : p

GREAT NEWS - glad you sorted it (now perhaps I ought to untangle mine)

Only took us 12 hrs!

...but have to say it was well worth the effort!

So what was the problem?

There were a few bulbs not making contact properly within their socket.
One string clearly had a wire not properly connected.
Although they have individual seals around each bulb, I think some of them had perished so allowed water into some of the contacts.

Certainly something which needs checking up on waaaay before the festive season!

Glad you got some of them working.........maybe a squirt of WD40 into each socket before storing away.
