I'm ready for Christmad - bring it on

Haven't bought any presents or sent any cards, unless you count the one for my Mum. She's had the same card for 4 years, I just add an extra year to it and another X. Then I give her back the card she sent me last year or the year before and she hands it back to me. Such a waste of money buying new cards each year
Call me tight if you like, but I prefer to make a cash donation to a charity than the nominal sum that so-called charity cards generate for the charity.

Nearly forgot, I've put my 3 decoraitons up and turned on the 10 red lights on a plant in the porch. Oooooh I feel so festive now

I cant believe how warm it is outside 11.2 on the thermometer. Probably why I had trouble sleeping, OH has the quilt up to her neck and just too warm for me.

I just checked out our local weather forecast...and it now covers Xmas Day!....not long now is it?!

No Nicos it's not long now - I must admit I will be glad when it is as I have become a bit of a grumpy christmas sufferer. It don't help that we have alot of Christmas birthdays as well. Mine is in a couple of days - Oh blugger I'm getting older and the OH's is Christmas day along with an assortment of grandkids, fathers, aunts etc.
I have reached the age when I prefer summer as at least it's light by 4 ish so when I'm regularly up between 2 and 3 I don't have long to wait.

Dark mornings...yeh...know the feeling lumpy.
Because of the different time zone here, it stays dark in the mornings for a extra hour!....this time of year it's hardly light at 9 am on a dull drizzly morning.
I know we get the benefit of the extra hour of light in the evenings...or perhaps I should say afternoons at the moment!
Only 1 hr I know...but it still feels strange even after 7 years!
