    • Artnoon from an incredibly old VC as many of the things on that list weren't around when I was a kid.
No TV, No phone, No tape recorder, No decimalisation - but lots of playing outside, freedom and books Wouldn't swap my impoverished childhood with any of the kids of today.
Funny how not much has changed, because I still like playing outside, value my freedom and my books.

        • VC - I totally agree. Oh no I would not want to be a kid nowadays. Mind you I would'nt mind being 20 years younger either.
What do you reckon about me having a painting done of myself so I could keep it in the attic like Dorian Grey?

Hazel Domino cat does look comfy so you'll have to make do with slippers or cold feet.

            • Evening all! It's been quite warm out there today - really enjoyed my weekend long run. It's muddy in the park - came home filthy .

I have got this for tea - not sure how to cook it as yet

              • Sorry, Hazel, I'm not too good at inventing meat meals any more
You could try a mustard and breadcrumb topping perhaps?

It's ok, VC - you've excelled with a recipe once this week, I don't expect such brilliance all the time.

                  I can see three options
                  - cut into strips and marinade in soy and have a stir fry (need to a stir fry veg pack from little Morries as the 'stir fry veg' available to me include onion and runner beans)
                  - cook in the oven in a sauce of honey and mustard
                  - cook in the pan to a WI recipe with white wine vinegar and dijon (got both) and finish with cream (have to go to little Morries)

Also need to bake some biscuits this evening, I think.

                  • I think you should choose the middle option, so that you don't have to go out. That means you have more time to make bisgedi

                    • I'd go with Stir fry and any leftovers can go in a omelette tomorrow, that.s if you're like me and make far to much.

                      • Right. Going to little Morries to see if they have stir-fry on a yellow sticker. Or cream on a yellow sticker. Or anything on a yellow sticker.

                          • Well that was a disappointment - the only yellow sticker items were a couple of packs of wafer thin ham, which the packet reckons can't be frozen.

Hey ho - a pork/honey/mustard/onion/soy concoction it is!

Right - better get those biscuits on the go...

No buckets available - they were all still stuffed full of valentine's flowers (not marked down in price yet, btw). We clearly are an unromantic lot round here!

Just got a text from owner of my local convenience store to say he has buckets safely stored away for me. He remembered keeping them for me last year..
