I cant get over that moment just as the vet stuck his syringe into her leg, she looked at me for reassurance and I smiled and said "Its ok girl" The trust in her eyes made me feel like an utter traitor. That moment is going to be with me a long time. I know it had to be done, I know it was for the best, but the feeling remains. Thank you all for your kind comments.
So sorry to hear this Bill, feel for you, very sad, but I'm certain she had the best life possible with you.
He loved the cake but wanted to know where it was. I said you had shared it out to everyone on the Vine
Seems less itchy to and last night was the first full nights sleep since Tuesday last week.
Morning all, no rain here yet. Still camping out indoors as kitchen has a way to go yet. We are at the stage where it will soon be takeaways only soon. I think the gammon I cook tonight will be the last meal for a few days.
No matter, our local parade of shops has more eat in or take out places than there are days in the week lol
Just had a look at my chitting spuds, coming along just fine in the porch
Have a good day all
Beautiful start to the week here, got to spend some time in the garden today as OH is bending my ear. Got to dismantle my old raised beds and level the ground in preparation for turf laying at the end of March. Things we do for grandkids
Thanks, you two. I had a couple of scoops of the veg from the pan to have with my pork chop, and I've put the the rest by in a pyrex dish. Love the idea of adding some beaten egg, and topping with cheese - bit like a frittata, I guess. That's tomorrow's tea sorted.
Hazel that's one of my favourite meals and its nice eaten either warm or cold.
Today we're having a ham hock bake made with potatoes, leeks and onions, rest of the hams going into pea an' ham soup. not made that for ages.
We've had snow
6 dogs playing in the snow - correction 5 playing, one mooching!
Imagine the kitchen floor now! Where are those steam mop recommendations - I need to buy one - quick. This is an emergency.
Hope you're all chirpy today. Have a good day whatever you're up to.
good morning, sunny here,DH said we had some rain in the night,as the garden bottom is waterlogged,
VC,where are you putting the dogs inside whilst you do the floor, you could do with a pen and towels on the floor,or fashion them an under carriage rain coat, with detachable boots, held up by velcro, can see you at crufts showing you designer dog wear, bet peeps would buy to,,just to be the first in doggy fashion, not so long ago,i did fashion a leg ocal to keep a bandaged leg wound dry,so it could still have walkiesdaft i know, but it worked,

So sorry to hear about Rosie, Bill. Had tears in my eyes when I read your post but as others have said, I'm sure she had the best of times with you and your family!
Going to have a quick read at the posts I've missed over the weekend and then get some housework done. Have a good day everyone.,
Good afternoon, the sun keeps popping out every now and again here. OH is still off work. Not got anything to do today, so think I might just finish off my book I have been reading. Have a good day
