Oh Dotty....Charlie sounds delightful! ...what a welcome!

      • Morning all, chilly this morning, I've had to put the heating on again!

Enjoy Dorothy because my two, 13 and 11, look at you as though to say 'really, do you have to put that kettle on' then roll over and go back to sleep! (most mornings that is)

        Have a great day everyone.

        • This is just the start of puppy love, Dotty - wait until he's really settled with you

My lot sleep in the kitchen and hear me coming downstairs in the morning. Three of them will be giving little whimpers while Mary snorts and snuffles. Open the door very cautiously, knowing that 3 dogs will hurl themselves at me
Nice to know that someone is pleased to see me

Noticeable temperature drop here too, just as I've decided I must crack on and sow some seeds. Evie has made a nest on the bed, and Percy has gone to find a warm teenage boy for company. He absolutely dotes on my youngest son, insists on cuddles when he comes back from school and follows him around like a dog. Quite funny watching a teenager going soppy over the cat too!

            • It's mornings like this that make me glad I haven't sown anything outdoors yet!

Still, I might go down the allotment for an hour and start rigging up protection on the carrot bed and the wildflower bed.

Also when my son gets up I need to show him what's going on in the greenhouse. He's in charge of watering the seedlings while I'm off on a week's holiday in a few days time.

              • Morning All. Dull and cold here. Washing and crossword done, so I'm about to get the vac out. Hope it brightens up later - I find myself with some time (!) to sow seed. Unless Mothering Sunday comes early

                        • I thought I might wash the greenhouse glass today, but brrrrrrrr ... it's chilly out there. I will venture back up to Ald* with the car though - many gardening bargains - electric propagator £12.99, FB&B £2.99 and some lovely roses (plants not cut flowers) for £1.89 each! And chicken poo pellets - what more could a girl ask for?

                            • Arternoon everyone, a chilly day here in Nestland. Have managed to plant 3 Dwarf Peach Trees (£4.99 from H/Bargains - £21 from TnM) in the Polythunnel. Anchored another kite down(6x4) which I plan to use as a log store. May have a power nap before listening to footy.
