Hi All, did you miss me this morning? Day off today Sister-in-law's funeral tomorrow Been gloriously sunny here today, but biting cold and blowing a gale. Still managed to get something done outside which was brilliant.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your first day CarrieGranny on the Game in Sheffield

The weather has been utterly miserable here the whole weekend. Rain, wind and grey skies. Not even a sign of any sunny weather.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Evening, well it has not stopped raining all day and it's still chucking it down! Instead of having 2 nice white fluffy dogs we have 2 curly yucky ones as they like to go and just stand in the rain.
Glad you had a good day Carrie.
Sorry to hear about your sis in law Florence.sigpic

Evening all - just back from a chess match which we won 5-1 - Daughter has swapped her plot for the one next to mine so I have moved all her bits and pieces to the new plot - we had dug 4 of the beds and surrounding flower area in advance so all we need is some decent weather to get ready for planting :-)Endeavour to have lived, so that when you die, even the undertaker will be sorry - Puddinghead Wilson's Diary

Good Morning Vine - nam (shouted in my best Robin Williams voice)
I am really glad its now light as I have been up since 2am woken by the tinkling sound of the shed roof being ripped off with an encore of roof tile castanets. Oh joy. To add insult to injurt we bought some cheaper coffee - its horrible so I suppose you do get what you pay for!.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

Thankfully its just 4 of the edge tiles - we still have 2 of them but the others are in pieces. Because the shed and roof edge are on the same line the wind must have blown in exactly the right direction.
At least the sun is shining now - off to lottie in a bit to see if the plastic is still on the poly tunnel.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

Morning All. What a horrible night I have this irrational fear of the chimney stack blowing down and landing on my bed So, like an ostrich, I burrow down under the duvet and try to drown out the howling wind. If you can't hear the wind you can't be harmed by it ..............can you?
Hope that all blowaways etc are still in place and no structural damage has occurred.
