  • Mornin all!

    Gosh- you've been busy Dotty!
We used to host a street party every year when we lived in the UK....sometimes twice a year.
(We lived in a cul de sac so there was never a problem with through traffic)

One year it rained so much that we ended up playing musical garages...ie everyone opened up their garages and we sat inside them for a while, had a natter, and moved on to the next.
2 BBQs under shelter so peeps could pop over and replenish their plates or charge their glasses.
    Used to be brill!
They started at about 1pm and ended up by a stoic few greeting the dawn and milkman if the weather was good!

You'll have a brill time...just get togged up enough

    • Morning All . its a bit wet and cold so I'm put my clothes on and going out to buy some chooks. Wilma departed for the great henhouse in the sky a few days ago and Pebbles looks lonely on her own. I'll tell you what breeds they are when I get back from the Black Mountains
      Have a good day everyone!

Not sure what these 3 will be called but there's a grey one, a black one and a brown one. Pebbles is a white one

          • What an utterly miserable day. I am glad that it is raining (albeit not with any great enthusiasm), because we do need it, but why does it have to be cold and windy as well? I have been reduced to doing housework because it is not nice enough to go to the plot and it's a bit chilly for the toms and things to be potted on. I almost put the summer-weight duvet on the bed yesterday. Jolly glad I didn't now. Never mind, supposed to be better on Monday.

            • I will be glad when I can get into bed. Everything has just gone wrong for me today. Pour myself a glass of wine to cheer myself up.

                    • My toms and cue seedlings, courgettes and beans, have been in the GH ever since they were sown. We treat 'em rough here
Three chooks have been added to the menagerie today - seem to be getting on OK with Pebbles, the resident chook. Just need to introduce them to the pups and we're one big happy family again.
Everyone OK, I hope. Did you all keep your clothes on today?

I think I'm in a frost pocket. My courgettes were a gonna last week, even my calabrese and PSB seedling were wilted.
I kept my clothes on - didn't want to frighten the cows

                              • We've been having very cold nights Bren 2&3's but last night was a forecast for rain with a 10 for the next few nights. My toms are still very small, they could do with some early sun.
