I haven't been anywhere. The little job I took on to help out, has gone on longer than I expected. Now the weather is ok I'm gardening too, so in the evenings I'm too knackered to be sociable.
I've finished my G & T now, and I'm off to bed. Catch y'all laaaaaaaaaater. Sweet dreamzzzz.
Welcome back G4! I am off out this afternoon to a festival in town. Loads of tribute bands are playing. But first I need to get rid of this headache before I go anywhere.
Might be some conflict here today after breakfast: I want to go down to the allotment and weed my carrot bed, while Mrs H wants to go to car showrooms and look at sports cars...
I think I know who will win.
Hi there G4, we missed you. Have you got the long weekend off? Carrie, enjoy the fake festival, hope the sun shines for you. Everyone else, enjoy your Saturday!
My gardening blog: In Spades, last update 30th April 2018.

Morning everyone. Well hurrah - it is half term. I have been teaching again (stepped in for emergency cover and find myself doing this for a few weeks) and I am cream-crackered! One forgets just how utterly draining it is. But ... week off and much to look forward to. I am just going to finish my coffee, get a leg in pant and pootle off to the local garden centre to spend some vouchers! They have grow bags - 4 for a tenner. Got to be good. I have toms and cukes that need potting on into more substantial containers. Then I am going to take out my frustrations on the forsythia (only with the secateurs though). And this evening I am off to see Mark Knopfler at the NEC (I know it's not called that now, they change the damn name every year, but to me, it is the NEC). Really looking forward to it, although it is going to be very emotional. I shall probably blub. He was one of Mr Q's favourites and we played one of his tracks at the funeral. I shall have to warn my friend.
Have a brilliant long weekend, whatever you are doing!

First, make sure the boot is big enough for lots of plants and bags of compost. Then pull out your credit card and be magnanimous
'Morning All - its very sunshiny here. I've nibbled my way through the mangetout, said Hello to the chooks, replaced some onion sets that had popped out overnight - its tiring having a garden Now for yet another cup of coffee and a play with the pups :
Hope you all have a sooperdooper day and plenty of the bright yellow thingy.
